2012 MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

AHA memberships are available open for 2012. See below for the list of 2012 various individual, household, affiliate and institutional membership options and prices.

2012 Early-Bird Offer

Purchase your AHA individual or institutional membership now for 2012, and you will be granted online access to the journal History Australia immediately (once your account has been set up) rather than having to wait until 2012. This means you'll be able to read all the issues published online, going back to December 2004. Early-Bird memberships commence on 28 October 2011. The subscriptions listed below are Early-Bird memberships, hence the 16-month subscription period, which commences on 28 October 2011 and expires on 28 February 2013.

The AHA 'membership year'

AHA memberships run from 28 February in the current year to 28 February the following year, rather than on a calendar year basis. This is referred to as the 'membership year' below. Three issues of the journal History Australia are published in each membership year. Please note: The Early-Bird membership year runs for 16 months, commencing on 28 October 2011 and expiring on 28 February 2013.

AHA Membership Benefits

  • A print copy of each of the three issues of History Australia published per membership year
    (unless you opt-out of the print version);
  • online access to current and back issues of History Australia going back to 2004;
  • discount registrations for AHA conferences, including the Biennial National Conference of the AHA;
  • a range of biennial awards and prizes in the year of the national conference;
  • and representation of the discipline on numerous national bodies.

Please Note:

  • A contribution of $12.50 will be required towards postage for overseas memberships.
  • Email addresses are essential to the provision of online access to History Australia. Those who do not supply an email address are effectively waiving their right to online access. All new members will be emailed a username and password so they can access the journal online while their subscription is current, and emailed "table-of-contents" alerts will be sent to notify all members when a new issue of History Australia is published. If you forget your password, please click the link 'Forgot Your Password'. (Click to 'Log in' if you can't immediately see the 'Forgot Your Password' link, and this will bring the link up.)

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER

Individual/Household, Concession, and Affiliate Memberships

New and existing members can click on this RegisterNow link (a secure online registration service) to register online. (It can take up to 7 working days for your registration to be processed and your online access organised.

Alternatively, please download a membership form (Word format) and send it to the Subscription Manager at the address above.

Please note: In household memberships, the AHA member benefits apply to both parties (although only a single print copy of the journal is available per household). A single username and password is provided for online access to the journal History Australia; and due to a software limitation, only one email address can be recorded in the online journal system - this affects, for instance, the ability of the other party of the membership to retrieve lost passwords, and to receive emailed ‘Table of Contents alerts’ when the latest issue is published.

This membership of the Australian Historical Association is for small organisations within Australia, who require username and password to log-in to the journal History Australia, rather authentication by an IP-address or range.
This membership is only for small organisations or institutions that are not set up for IP-range access, and whose postal address is within Australia. With this membership you receive:
    * Online access to the journal for up to 5 nominated users.
    * One print copy of each issue of the journal published during the membership year.
     Online access is to all current issues and all back issues of History Australia published online, for the duration of the membership year.
Note that because this is a membership with access by username and password, the Terms and Conditions of Use are the same as for individual subscriptions. The terms and conditions are available from http://www.epress.monash.edu/about/indterms.html. The purchase price does not include GST: as a not-for-profit association, the AHA is GST-exempt.
